Check the state shown in Lira before starting a second action. A call that is reconnecting, ending, or processing is different from a call that never started.

## The call is reconnecting

Pause speaking and give Lira time to reconnect. Check that your internet connection is working and that the microphone is still connected. Keep the tab open.

If the call shows a recovery action, use that action to return to the current call. Repeatedly selecting Start practice or opening additional tabs can make it harder to tell which attempt you are reviewing.

## Practice is unavailable

Wait for **Preparing practice…** to resolve. If the action becomes **Practice unavailable**, the workspace's current call service or the scenario's voice setup may not be available.

Check whether another published scenario is available. If only one scenario is affected, ask its author or a workspace admin to review its call settings. Changing your microphone permissions will not repair an unavailable scenario configuration.

## Ending or saving was interrupted

If Lira offers **Retry end**, use it to finish the current attempt. After an interrupted call, check **Progress** or the scenario's **Recent attempts** before assuming no attempt was created.

For an interrupted settings save or assignment action, keep the page open, restore connectivity, and use the retry or save control. Check the visible confirmation or updated record before repeating a bulk action.

## Check local conditions

- Confirm that other websites load.
- If you are switching networks, wait for the connection to settle.
- If a managed network blocks calling, ask your IT team for help.
- Avoid refreshing during an active call unless recovery guidance specifically requires it.

An interrupted conversation is scored on the dialogue that was captured. If no usable conversation evidence is available, the attempt cannot be evaluated; see [feedback troubleshooting](https://lira.thoughtly.com/docs/troubleshooting/feedback).

If the issue continues, contact [help@thoughtly.com](mailto:help@thoughtly.com) with the approximate time, scenario, browser, and error message. Avoid including private transcript content unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it.
