Assign and manage training
Choose who should practice a published scenario and track assignment completion.
On this page
An assignment connects a person with a particular published scenario version. Admins can assign within their workspace; managers can assign to people they manage.
Assign from a scenario
- Open the published scenario in Scenarios.
- Select Assign beside the management controls.
- Search for and select the people who should practice it.
- Add a due date if one is needed.
- Review your selection and confirm the assignment.
The dialog distinguishes people who already have an assignment. Select visible selects the available people in the current search results, so check the selection count before confirming.
For broader training management, use Assignments. Review the people, scenario, deadline, and completion information before applying changes.
Find an assignment
On Assignments, choose Active or Completed above the table. Search by scenario or person in the bordered field on the left. In Active, Filter narrows the list by assignment status. Assign training stays on the right, and page controls appear below the table.
What learners see
Assigned scenarios appear prominently in the learner's Scenarios collection. Learners can still explore other published scenarios available to them. Ask them to start from the assigned card when working toward that assignment.
An assignment is completed by a qualifying attempt that earns the scenario's certificate. Submitting the result is a separate action and is not required to mark the assignment complete.
Learners receive assignment and reminder emails when email delivery is enabled for the workspace. A qualifying private attempt stops those reminders; submitting an unsuccessful attempt does not. See email notifications for the schedule and personal reminder controls.
Deadlines and changes
Use the assignment controls to change a due date or remove an assignment when authorized. Dates use the workspace's time zone, so check that setting before coordinating a deadline across locations.
Removing an assignment is different from deleting a learner's account. Read the confirmation carefully; access to assignment-based submission and review can change when the assignment is removed.
Existing assignments retain their published scenario version. Saving a revised scenario does not silently change the requirements for people already assigned to it.
If an expected person is missing, check their active membership and manager assignment in People. Do not create a second invitation until you have checked the existing record.
